You may remember our post earlier this year in which top blogger Slummy Single Mummy put Geneveve to the test. Well the wait is over: her three-month post-treatment verdict is in!
Geneveve by Viveve is our treatment for vaginal laxity and stress urinary incontinence (SUI). Slummy Single Mummy Jo wrote a detailed, down-to-earth, funny and 100% honest account of her experience of having the treatment back in February, and promised that she would update us all on how things were progressing later in the year.
As Jo explains in her latest post, Geneveve isn’t an “overnight” treatment. The radio-frequency device works by stimulating the collagen and elastin in your vaginal wall to grow and tighten, and this takes a little time. By the three-month mark the process should be at its peak, and positive effects have been shown to continue for 18 months post-treatment. The treatment is completely non-invasive, pain free and requires no anaesthetic, so you can get back to normal pretty much straight away. Let’s talk about it!
Jo’s latest post is honest, funny and really informative for anyone considering finding out more about the Geneveve treatment, and if it could be right for them. As Jo herself says:
“[…] The Geneveve treatment is not about trying to impress anyone or please anyone other than yourself. As I find myself on the cusp of turning 40, it feels like something I have done for ME, as a way of taking care of myself and my body. […] Not only have I noticed the physical differences from having the Geneveve treatment, but I’ve also felt more empowered personally, both to prioritise my own body and to talk about it with other people.”
Thanks again Jo for your honesty and humour, we think it will really help empower women with vaginal laxity symptoms to seek advice and help! You can read the full post at the Slummy Single Mummy website here.
