Private Home Coronavirus Swab Test for Covid-19.

Use this test if you think you may have Covid-19 symptoms now.

You will receive a single swab that you will use to collect a sample from your nose and your throat. You will also receive full instructions on how to complete the test: please follow these instructions very carefully.

This test does not give an instant result as we need the accuracy only achievable in a laboratory. The sample has to be sent back to the lab to be tested.

A positive test shows that you have coronavirus in your throat or your nose at the time of the test. A negative test does not completely guarantee that you have not been exposed to Covid-19. There remains a chance that you did not swab effectively or that you took the swab when no viruses were present. Please continue to observe social distancing and if you begin to experience any Covid-19 symptoms, please seek help. The PCR test has a specificity of 100% and a sensitivity of 100%
Sensitivity tells you how often a test correctly gives a positive result for people who have the condition being tested for. This is also known as the “true positive” rate.
Specificity tells you how often test correctly generates a negative result for people who do not have the condition being tested for. This is also known as the “true negative” rate.
